Emily discovered yoga in middle school when she became curious about different types of exercise. She would wake up before school and sample 30-60 minute workout programs found on the cable TV guide. One morning, she tried the program Inhale on Oxygen hosted by Steve Ross and fell in love with the practice. She continued to practice yoga intermittently into college and then after college began to lean on yoga as a tool for physical and mental well-being. She completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training program through Peace Through Yoga at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis in 2014 and has been teaching ever since. In 2020, she completed training in Yin Yoga at Blooming Life Yoga in Zionsville. Emily loves to use her creativity when planning classes and often sings to her students at the end of savasana.
Emily teaches yoga exclusively at SHINE Yoga and Wellness Studio in Downtown Noblesville, IN. Click on the image to the left to sign up for a yoga class with Emily through SHINE’s website.
